Dusk and Dawn Watercolour workshop with Shari Arnott.
Crepuscular Creatures 11th September 2026
Come and create an enchanting and ethereal woodland scene. We will explore a variety of watercolour techniques to create a dusky, atmospheric scene with gnarly trees, moonlight and an opportunity to include a fox or badger.
Initially working onto damp paper (wet into wet) to set the scene, we will experiment with salt crystals, iridescent medium and the use of compostable caddy bags to create pattern.
This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience – whether you are new to watercolour or have more experience. All are most welcome.
If you already have watercolour equipment please bring it along. A3 size watercolour paper (or there abouts), 140lb, not surface, masking tape and a rigid board to tape your paper onto along with your usual paints and brushes etc.
Let myself or Shari know in advance if you will need to borrow equipment.
There will be plenty of visual references and examples to feed your imagination. Bring a packed lunch.
