Stencil printing is a highly versatile method of craft decoration and this workshop will open a door to the exciting possibilities of hand printing onto fabric and painted wooden surfaces…upcycling here we come!
Whether you are seeking a one-off day of relaxed creative learning with everything provided, or an introduction to the array of opportunities this fun technique will give you for creating unique home accessories or personally crafted gifts, this workshop is for you.
The day starts with simple chalk paint application and easy ways to achieve subtle vintage looks, learning the fundamental techniques for stencilling onto various types of surfaces, and how to form beautiful patterns with Melanie’s personally designed stencils inspired by her love of the countryside.
With step-by-step learning, plenty of practice time and the opportunity to build your confidence, you can then immerse yourself in building your botanical designs on the painted tray and coordinating tea towel. A nature inspired range of hand mixed specialist stencil paints made by Melanie herself will be available to use on the day, so no need to be concerned if you lack confidence with colour.
All materials are supplied, perfect for beginners and those who may have stencilled before.
Stencil designs, brushes and fixable fabric paints used on the day will be available to purchase at the end of the event.
Aprons will be provided but best to wear clothes you are happy to get mucky.
